🌿 Drinking green tea and black tea regularly may prevent memory decline

The researchers led by Dr. Ed Okeilo from the Medicinal Plant Research Center at Newcastle University in the UK published an article in the Journal of Phytotherapy Research stating that drinking tea can inhibit the synthesis of an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter responsible for information transmission between brain cells.
Normal age-related memory decline is also associated with reduced acetylcholine levels. In healthy individuals, acetylcholine is continuously broken down in the brain, but chemical compounds in tea can slow this process. Based on these findings, researchers believe that regular consumption of green and black tea can help prevent memory decline.
