🌿 Pain Relief Rubbing Agent
[Formula] Borax, 10 grams; Alum (burnt), 15 grams; Borneol, 45 grams; 95% alcohol, 500 milliliters.
[Preparation] First dissolve borneol in alcohol, then add borax and burnt alum, mix thoroughly for external use (longer storage improves efficacy).
[Efficacy] Regulate Qi, promote blood flow, relieve pain.
[Indications] Severe pain from late-stage cancer.
[Usage] External application. Apply to painful areas caused by cancer. Frequency depends on condition.
[Note] From "Thousand Excellent Remedies, Volume II." Effective for esophageal, gastric, pancreatic cancers. One application usually relieves pain for 6–8 hours; in late-stage patients, pain relief lasts 2–3 hours. Less effective for pain due to lung or liver cancer.
