🌿 Ear Acupressure Therapy for Cervical Spondylosis

Disease: Cervical spondylosis commonly occurs in middle-aged and older individuals due to degenerative changes in the cervical vertebrae, combined with acute or chronic injuries causing varying degrees of damage to intervertebral discs, ligaments, and posterior joint capsules. These lead to compensatory bone overgrowth, which directly or indirectly compresses nerves, resulting in neck, occipital, shoulder-arm pain, numbness, and restricted neck movement. Clinically classified into three types. Radicular Type: Mainly presents with headache, neck and shoulder pain, heaviness in upper limbs, reduced grip strength, finger numbness, and coldness. Sympathetic Type: Mainly presents with palpitations, bradycardia, chest tightness, excessive sweating, unstable blood pressure, and blurred vision. In traditional Chinese medicine, this falls within the category of "Bi Syndrome."
Formula: Select acupoints bilaterally on the earlobe—Cervical Vertebra Zone, Liver, Kidney, Shenmen. Adjust according to symptoms for syndrome differentiation. Disinfect earlobes routinely. Cut rubber adhesive into 6×6 mm squares. Attach 3–4 seeds of Vaccaria segetalis firmly onto selected points. Use index and thumb fingers to pinch and rub the acupressure patch until patient feels pain, continuing until the entire earlobe becomes red and warm.
Indications: Cervical spondylosis.
