🌿 Ear Acupoint Seeding for Chronic Insomnia

Ear acupoint seeding therapy is a simple, safe, and effective method with good results for treating insomnia. The procedure is as follows: Patients may refer to an ear acupoint map to locate the points Shenmen, Liver, Gallbladder, Spleen, Stomach, Heart, and Kidney. Then, use raw Wangbuliuxing (a traditional Chinese herb) for ear acupoint seeding. First, disinfect the acupoint or auricle. After drying, use tweezers to pick up adhesive tape with attached raw Wangbuliuxing and place it precisely on the target point. Apply slight pressure during placement, pressing for several seconds. Each seed can remain in place for 3–5 days. During this period, patients should self-press the site 2–3 times daily. A course lasts five days.
When trying this remedy, patients may alternate between ears. In places where raw Wangbuliuxing is unavailable, millet can be used as a substitute.
