Comment: Donkey hide gelatin and old wine are traditional winter tonic items in China, possessing functions of activating blood, nourishing blood, invigorating qi, nourishing yin, dispelling wind and cold. Suitable for patients with insufficient yang qi, blood stasis, yin deficiency, blood deficiency, physical decline, wind-cold arthralgia, menstrual irregularities. A hospital study treated 100 subjects with chronic weakness. Results showed significant improvement in symptoms including fatigue, chest tightness, shortness of breath, lack of speech, constipation, weak legs, insomnia, forgetfulness, and anemia.
